Dale Cordice Jr. started a movement called Different is the new cool! Dale’s mother helped him along on his journey to launch his movement and develop a clothing line.
In this day where bullying is at an all time high, we wanted to create a platform that empowers young people to embrace their different. We are fearfully and wonderully made and our different is what makes us cool. We currently have a line of hoodies, long sleeve & short sleeve shirts. Recently we made our runway debut at Charlotte Seen: Candyland Fashion Show. I had 15 models rocking my shirts on the runway.

Why did you choose to design for children?
I wanted something that appealed to me and my peers. I love hoodies and bright colors. I am also big on how fabrics feel. The shirts are soft and comfortable!
How is your label different from the other childrens brand already on the market?
My label is different because it’s not just a shirt, it’s a movement. Both youth and adults can relate to the message. We all have something about us that’s considered different.
Where do you get your ideas from and what or who inspires you as a designer?
Kids that are considered weird, quirky or strange inspire me. I inspire me. I’m different, I have ADHD. I wanted to create a platform for young people to be able to embrace their differences. I would tell other entrepreneurs to follow their dreams. Our gifts will make room for us.
